The Arizona Nonprofits + Grantmakers Policy Council is an advisory group composed of individuals interested in public policy and advocacy for Arizona’s nonprofit and philanthropic sectors. It is free and open to any members of the Alliance or Grantmakers.
In this roundtable, we'll be discussing how Arizona Gives Rural nonprofit participants have planned and executed their marketing/fundraising campaigns for a successful Arizona Gives Day.
Relationships play an essential role in the success of any organization and this role is even more essential in nonprofits. Whether it is relationships within your organization, external partners, donors, clients, or volunteers, success is dependent on the support from others. Balancing these relationships is difficult because for them to be successful, [Next Slide] we need to make sure that there is trust, respect, and authenticity from all the people involved. How can we, as nonprofit professionals, ensure that our circles of relationships are ones that are beneficial to us and our organizations? To discuss this further is Jim Enote, the CEO of the Colorado Plateau Foundation.

Sherri S. Wick & Brittany Wrenn spoke to us about burnout in the workplace. We learned that work-related burnout is much more common than we think, and can lead to both physical and mental unwellness.
Rhonda Oliver, President and CEO Hands On Greater Phoenix, will share research around volunteerism that was done early in the pandemic and will discuss volunteerism as part of a larger civic engagement strategy. She will also discuss what trends she has been seeing locally.
Mayor Coral Evans will join us to speak towards her advocacy for a balanced approach of stewardship of community resources as a tool to create opportunities that allow for civic engagement, civil discourse, community revitalization and genuine sustainability and advancement within a community.
