Dr. Melanie Mitros

Joining NLI in 2022, Dr. Melanie Mitros has vast experience leading, funding and consulting with nonprofits, communities, and foundations. Dr. Mitros brings skills in organizational development, project management, evaluation, and results-based facilitation to the Nonprofit Lifecycles Institute team.  Previous roles included the Director of Strategic Community Partnerships at Vitalyst Health Foundation and the founding Director of the Arizona Living Well Institute where she engaged public and private partners to build statewide infrastructure, coalitions and communities.

Dr. Mitros holds a PhD in Physical Activity, Nutrition and Wellness from Arizona State University, M.S. from Wake Forest University, and B.S. from Middle Tennessee State University.
